Today we went to the doctor for our 13 week scan. This is the one were they check to see if there is any risk of Downs Syndrome. They take a scan and check the spine and the neck and also the bridge of the nose to see if the bone has formed. Typically our kid didn't want his/her photo taken today, so we could only get the back of the head! But they do blood tests too, so they will still be able to check everything out. They will let us know within a week if there are any issues, but if we don't hear from them, then all is good.

The doc said I am text book healthy and in the right place at the moment. I have only put on 1 kilo in the last month! (yay) and he says if I continue to look after myself, I should not gain more than 13 kilos....(sounds SO much) He gave me a few exercises to help me keep my stomach muscles strong, and said I can keep walking and doing pilates too. I may be fitter than ever if I keep this up!

We Like the doc, but I am going to meet with a Midwife next month too, just to check out my options. Apparently they have a much more holistic approach to the whole procedure and really help you through out the birth as apposed to leaving the golf course when they get the call and being there at the last minute. So we wills see. Either way I am going to have the baba as naturally as naturally as nature allows.

SO here is baby Lawdiman scan 2. As I mentioned he/she was not up for photos today, so we didn't get to see the face, but you can see the elbow and arm and then the back of the head and spine. It has a little boep, so we recon it takes after Ricky hahaha. We also got to hear the heart beat and watch it move around. Its very active (another sign its Rickys baba).

Love to everyone from all of us.

Bump on mountain hike.
Hi Everyone.

So me and Ricky and Bodie and bump were feeling a little restless on Saturday afternoon, so we took a little hike around Lions head.
Don't worry, I didn't go up it! I am a little clumsy at the best of times, but its heightened now...

Exercise makes me feel a lot better. I feel guilty feeling this tired and not actually doing anything. So the long nap after the walk was well deserved.

12 week bump

And here is me last week Friday with a 12 week bump. It has been growing slowly but steadily.
My friend Sian is due today! So she was 39 weeks at this stage...
Will publish more when it grows a bit.....xxx

Week 13

So today, Friday the 22nd of March, we have reached 13 weeks. Baby Lawdiman is now the size of a peach!
We have our 13 week scan on Monday, where I will have some tests done to make sure the baba is healthy and growing well and has a nose bone (if there isn't a nose bone it can indicate Down Syndrome)
And we get to see another scan of him/her and listen to the heart beat again! :)

I am still going with boy at this stage, but Ricky and most others are convinced its a girl, and so is Dori and so is Robyn......either way we happy.

So I will picture of the scan on Monday so you can see and guess for yourselves.
Due date is still 27th September (Mr Scott Lawrences Birthday too) so we will have to wait and see if he/she arrives on schedule or not. Have a nice weekend all!

9 weeks and 4 days

So here is baby Lawdiman only 9 weeks and 4 days old. We were both so excited and shocked to hear its tiny heart beat. Such a precious, special moment. Who would have thought we would have finally made this big step. Having just presumed we were pregnant, to finally see the little jelly bean in the picture made it so real.

I'm 10 weeks and 4 days today. The size of a prune! Next scan is on the 25th of March where we will be tested for downs etc. So will send more images then

Been craving meat a lot!!! Rickys been calling the blip a Steak Baby! hahaa
I have been trying to eat healthy, but have to eat every 2 hours to keep my energy up. And I am very tired, but I am sure this will ease up soon.
We getting near to the "safe zone" when we can make the big announcement. I have told work already, and they were super happy for me which was such a relief. So made me feel much better.

So until next week....x
